What this is, and the rule it runs on

The rule

Every claim on this site traces to a document somebody has read. A credential appears with its issuing body and its year or it does not appear. A service is offered because the work behind it was performed, not because a category looked empty. A colleague is named only after they have agreed in writing.

The rule costs something, which is how you know it is real. Two of the founder’s own credentials were taken off this page for want of a year, and put back when the year arrived. And photographs are absent from 0 of the colleagues’ profiles on the team page, because agreeing to be listed is not agreeing to a likeness.

How the practice works

A small permanent core, and associates engaged per engagement who keep their own practices. Each owns a discipline; the founder carries the disciplines nobody has been engaged for yet, and the team page says which those are. Nothing is subcontracted to a name a client cannot check.

Who checks the checking

Verification is a role, and today the founder holds it — which is a conflict, because the person selling the work should not be the only person deciding what may be claimed about it. It is recorded here rather than hidden, and it moves to someone else as soon as the practice can carry them.
